I thought of doing a test when I was in a local large sports retailer. I was looking for a cable lock kit and watched several people comparing Yeti’s and another common cooler brand side by side. Each person was a little reseve on the price and each one vocally stated. Come-on does it really do that much better?
So, this last trip I decided to do a Yeti test just to show how well they perform.
July 3rd 7:40 PM added two bags and one block of ice. Added two handfuls of rock salt to a 65 quart Yeti Tundra.
July 3rd 9:00 PM Bottled Root beer test. After an hour the Root Beer was frozen and slushy
July 4th 8:00am loaded more drinks into Yeti. Then loaded it in the truck bed.
July 4th All day – Drove to West Yellowstone – Sunny highs in the mid 80′s. Most of the drinks were frozen that afternoon
July 5th All day – overcast and rainy high in the 50′s – Yeti stayed in the Truck Bed (1/2 full of ice and cold water and frozen water drinks)
July 6th All day – Sunny highs in the 80′s – Yeti stayed in the truck bed ( Down to block ice and cold water and frozen water drinks)
July 7th Drove to Boise arrived 2:00 PM – Highs in the 90′s. Yeti has 1/4 block ice 1/2 water drinks are frozen still other drinks are ice cold after 3 full days and ice
