Hit the Madison River this week and had a great time. The weather was a mix. Today it was overcast with rain and a slight breeze with the highs in the 50′s. The salmon flys are gone on the stretch of river we were on. There are still some nice size Stoneflies with lots of Caddis, Green Drakes and PMDs later in the day. PMDs we really hatching today in the overcast weather.
We brought a lot of Rainbows and Browns to the boat on dry flies but occasionally switched to nymphing throughout the day. It was a good time and the river is fishing well.
